Energy Awareness Month
October means football, pumpkin spice everything and Halloween, of course. But October is also National Energy Awareness Month. This month of recognition dates back to September 1991 when President George Bush made the declaration encouraging government and organizations to raise awareness of the importance of sustainably managing the nation's energy resources.
So what can you do in October, and all year long for that matter? It doesn't take much, in fact Archbishop Desmond Tutu has a famous quote that fits quite nicely with being energy conscious.
